In fairyland : a series of pictures from the elf-world. By Richard Doyle ; with a poem by William Allingham. Allingham was commissioned by the publisher in 1869 to write verses to accompany Richard Doyle's series of pictures. His poem is entitled ''A forest in fairyland.'' Sixteen plates are engraved and printed in colour by Edmund Evans. The illustrations were subsequently used to illustrate Princess Nobody by Andrew Lang.
