Original Toronto Star caption: Ferry to Niagara. The first of two Russian-made ferries to operate on a cross-lake service to the Niagara region arrived in Toronto yesterday. The Sunrise II and its sister ship Sunrise I will carry 68 passengers to Port Dalhousie at 50 kilometres an hour. The trip will take 45 minutes. The service will begin on June 1.

      Two Island ferries are tied up on the waterfront in the winter; with only the car ferry operating for the people who live on Algonquin and Ward's Islands. But the Harbor Police continue their 24-hour watch from a tower.
