Original Toronto Star caption: Shotgun blast victim Patrolman Joseph Hennigan lies by a squad car as racial rioting flared for the second straight night in Buffalo's Negro ghetto last night. Hennigan was hit in the face, chest and abdomen. Police are unsure who fired the shot, it may have been a jittery fellow officer. Hennigan and another wounded officer, Jack O'Keefe, were taken to hospital and are in good condition.
